Wartime singer Heather Marie at Royal Centre for Defence Medicine

Im very excited to have a really good mixture of performances coming up this week which include

Tomorrow I will be at the Royal College of Defence Medicine for their annual Battle of Britain memorial dinner. Im very excited to be asked to perform at such a high profile event and Im very much looking forward to meeting the fabulous staff at the hospital.

Then on Friday Ive been booked for a last minute charity function at the Pan Am Bar on the Albert Dock in Liverpool. The event is called Unite in Fashion and is to raise money for Alder Hey Childrens Hospital which im sure you will agree is a terrific cause.

Saturday will be one of my busiest days of the year so far when I will be performing at a lovely 1950s themed wedding on Saturday afternoon, then during the evening I will be performing for my local branch of the RAFA (Merseyside) for their annual dinner evening. Im glad to say that this is my second time performing for them and I am delighted to be asked back. Im very much looking forward to Saturday !

Why not check out my diary for more information and for where I will be next…… :-)

Wartime singer, swing and big band singer Heather Marie August Bank Holiday performances

My bank holiday weekend started with a performance at a private function for the Heroes of the Somme in Liverpool paying tribute to the Liverpool Pals and most notably Noel Chavasse who was the most decorated soldier during WW1.

Then the big event came on Sunday with Manchester Pride ! I was up early to be primped and polished ready for my performance on the Village Square stage and the Womens Stage in Sackville Gardens. Despite the weather, the crowds really turned out for both of my performances and I even got asked for an encore ! Unfortunately due to time restrictions I couldn’t do an encore but I was overjoyed to be asked. I also posed for plenty of pictures with the crowd – no doubt they will appear on my facebook page at some point. Overall my afternoon performances at Manchester Pride were thoroughly enjoyable and I had a fantastic time – I hope to be asked back again next year :-)

We’ll Meet Again Vintage Wartime Tease Party

What an amazing afternoon we all had yesterday at We’ll Meet Again Vintage Wartime Tease Party. The event was a fantastic success and we raised over £290 for the RAF Wings Appeal. Thank you so much to all of the performers, to Kelly from The Canary Cage, to Ness for making all of the fabulous cakes and to everyone who took part, donated and generally just was involved with the event. I couldn’t have done it without you so thank you !
